Penguin Tic-tac-toe: how to make one 2021/11/09

Have you heard about the Tic-tac-toe game?

Also known as Noughts and Crosses’, it consists of a grid of 3x3 where two adversaries compete to align three in their marks.

Today we will make one with penguins.

Material we will need:

  • Cardboard
  • Black, white, orange and pink felt
  • Hot silicon
  • Scissors
  • Pencil
  • 1 drinking glass
  • Black beads
  • Black pain and a paintbrush
  • Carton and a blue marker
  • Needle and thread

With the drinking glass, draw a circle in the carton and cut it out.

Each player must have at least 5 available pieces, so you have to make 10 circles.

Paint one side

With black felt, cut out the shape of the circles.

Take your measurements and draw a smaller circle than the prior one in the white felt and cout it out.

Make a little cut in V shape as it is shown in the photo to make the penguins face

Sew two beads to form the eyes in the white disc.

Prepare an orange felt triangle for the beak and a bow in the pink one. To distinguish the pieces, I decided to make a team of simple penguins and the other with a colorful detail.

Paste the details with hot silicon and join the discs in black and white.

Paste them over the black circles, being careful to leave the color side in the external part.

Cut out the edges if necessary

Here are our penguins all done.

Make the grid of noughts and crosses in a blue cardboard with a zigzag design to simulate ice and have fun!

Prepare the three penguins to entertain the little ones during your child’s penguin theme party, perfect for those who celebrate their birthday in the coldest months of the year, available in pink and blue.
