Duchess potatoes recipe 12/20/2022

Good to eat and pretty to the eye, the duchess potatoes are a side dish of French origin (pommes duchesse) that goes with many dishes and that thanks to its particular form they are also satisfying to the sight.

You can prepare them in advance and heat in the oven to serve.

The ingredients are:

  • 500 grs of potatoes
  • 50 grs of softened butter
  • 60 grs of Parmesan cheese
  • 2 yolks
  • Salt to taste.
  • Potato masher
  • Sac à poche with star peak

Boil the potatoes

Mash the potatoes and add the butter, parmesan cheese, the egg yolks and salt.

Mix the ingredients to obtain a thick and compact mix and put it in the sac à poche.

In an oven tray covered with parchment paper, form the potato tufts of about 3-4 cm in diameter.

Bake at 180°C during 15 minutes or until a golden crust is formed.

The Duchess potatoes are ready to serve!

If you wish to serve them for the holidays, try taller tufts to resemble trees.
