How to make a rustic and shabby centerpiece 2015/03/12

The following proposal is to create a Rustic and Shabby centerpiece, rustic by the natural wood and chic by the selection of flowers, ideal for spring events, communions and outdoors.

Materials:

Wood strip 7 cm in width x 1.5 cm thick, at least 1.60 m long (I have used a pallet strip)
18 nails for wood, invisible head, 3.5 cm long
Hammer
White glue
Pencil
Measuring tape or ruler

Suggested measurements

We apply the glue on each part that has to be joined

And the nails on the indicated points

The chic styles calls for flowers in light shades that can go from white to light pinks or lilac, the appropriate flower for this case is baby breath, nevertheless the daisy, chamomile, Queen Anne’s lace are similar and adequate for their simplicity, so are roses or white, light pink and lilac Lisianthus.

Adding moss we can create a different base to give another style

I have lightly sanded the wood to eliminate splinters on the edges

Thanks to the pink colors – lilac from the cabbage flower, this can fit in a Chic and Rustic environment
