Prepare a chicken salad 10/11/2017

 

Would you like to prepare a delicious chicken salad, maybe to offer as a snack to your friends or during an informal reunion?

Today we show you how to prepare delicious and nice to the eye snacks with which you can create variations.

Ingredients

  • 750 grams of chicken breast
  • 3 large carrots
  • 3 large potatoes
  • 1 can of peas
  • Mayonnaise 
  • ¼ of an onion
  • 1 garlic clove
  • Salt and pepper

We rinse the chicken before putting it in a pot filled with water until covered; we add a teaspoon of salt, the onion, the garlic clove and pepper to give it flavor. Boil for an hour and then let it cool on a plate.

Peel and wash the carrots and potatoes, cut them in cubes and cook them in a casserole. Add a teaspoon of salt and leave it for another 10 minutes, verify that the potato is cooked; drain the vegetables and place them in a baking dish.

Open the canned peas, drain them in a strainer and add them to the vegetables in the pan, then add the mayonnaise and softly mix.

Shred the chicken being careful to eliminate the cartilage, the skin or the bones and add the rest of the ingredients; we can now serve it if it isn’t hot.

Or leave the salad at room temperature and then cover it with transparent film and refrigerate to serve cold.

The recipe makes 15 medium portions, serve them on top of a lettuce leaf to create a delicious presentation.

It’s possible to prepare appetizers placing the salad on crackers with a lettuce leaf, accompanied by olives and cheese.
