Chocolate Pop it, recipe for a fun dessert 2021/08/27

My daughters and their friends are crazy for the fidget toys that stalked us this summer!

Then, in a too cold afternoon for visiting the pool, we started cooking and we tried to make bars of chocolate using pop-it games. I enjoyed it and so now I want to share the experience with you.

Ingredients for the chocolate bars pop it:

  • Chocolate bars to your liking
  • Fidget toys (washed and dried)
  • Sugars, Smarties, sugar almonds, dried or candied fruits in small pieces …

I recommend you calculate beforehand how much chocolate you will need. We had a dozen of small and big games sets and 9 chocolate bars divided in dark, milk and white chocolate.

First you must chop the chocolate and put it in a bowl or pan.

Melt the chocolate in water bath, it is necessary to heat a pot of water, immerse the bowl with the chopped chocolate without the chocolate being in contact with the water because if it does, it will turn opaque and whitish.

When the water comes to a boil, turn off the heat, mix gently and let it stand for 10-15 minutes. Then, if it is necessary, mix it to obtain a smooth and with substance cream.

Small tips:

  • Remember that white chocolate melts faster than dark chocolate because it has more butter than cacao.
  • If you have a cooking thermometer, measure at 45°C which is the ideal temperature to melt chocolate.

Meanwhile, my daughters have been placing sugars in the pop it game sets.

Let the chocolate pour in the game sets. We enjoyed mixing the three flavors.

Let stand in the fridge for a couple of hours.

Very carefully, separate the pop from the chocolate bar, I recommend you get your hands cold before doing this.

Here is the final result …

They are really fun and good, you can use them for a candy buffet in a Candy themed party or to make a gift for the guests customizing them with thank you labels included in many of our party kits or they ara available separately.

Taste them along with your children and let me know how it went!
