Origins of the Egg Hunt 2016/03/23

Easter is a party of catholic origin which millions of people celebrate: Christians, the Jewish, Protestants and orthodox honor this anniversary in remembering their different traditions and religious believes.

In Italy it is tradition to give away chocolate eggs, with a gift inside them, to the children.

In the United States of America a tradition, which to my liking, is very cute and fun called “Easter egg hunt”.

Days before Easter, or on the same day, the Easter Bunny hides the eggs that the children will have to look for at home, parks, gardens or at school taking with them a basket to pick them up.

In stationery shops or toyshops, plastic or carton eggs are found which work as a container to hide candies or small gifts inside (confetti, school supplies, coins…)

I suggest to you the variable of using eggs with different colors of wrappers or chick shaped, ladybugs, or bunny chocolates, etc. assigning each color and/or character a value: at the end of the hunt the child with the most points, wins!

What is important is to have fun and go back to being like children…

If your organize an egg hunt in your garden, you can prepare an Ester or Spring themed light lunch and take good photos with the Easter Photo booth of Automatic Download!
