Halloween crafts for children: Candy Holder Mummies 2019/10/29

There’s only a few days left until Halloween! The famous party so widespread around the world

We’ve prepared a tutorial to entertain children or also to make them as a gift: Candy holder mummies

It’s made by recycling kitchen napkin tubes or toilet paper tubes, the necessary is:

  • Napkin or toilet paper tubes
  • Glue stick or hot silicone
  • Scissors
  • Tissues
  • White paper
  • Pen or pencil
  • Black marker
  • Plastic eyes
  • And of course... Candies and chocolates with a Halloween theme!

Establish a measurement for the mummy: if you only have kitchen napkin tubes, you can cut them in half like I did, or keep it whole, but remember you’ll have to fill them with candy! On the other hand the toilet paper tube is ideal

Put the tube on top of white paper, trace the circumference, cut and glue it on the bottom of the tube

More or less at the half of the tube, draw a black halfmoon, as I show in the picture

Rip apart small pieces of the disposable tissue and glue to the tube, superimposing them once in a while. Be careful not to cover all the black half moon

When you’ve almost completed the tube, fill it with candy and close it with a larger piece of tissue to form a type of ‘paper lid’

Paste the eyes and it’s done! The mummies are ready!

The lid will have to be broken to uncover the candy treasure they hide!

Prepare along your children as many mummies to give away during a monstrous party as you want... Choose in our store the kit of the Halloween Party you like the most!
