Lasagna Recipe with Pumpkin and Smoked Ham 2019/10/16

 

Autumn is back and brings with it the autumnal flavors!

Today we will prepare a tasty main dish: lasagna with pumpkin and smoked ham

Ingredients for 4 portions

  • About 600 grams of pumpkin
  • 250 grams of lasagna
  • 500 ml of béchamel sauce
  • 400 grams of smoked ham strips (you can buy two slices of 1/2 cm in thickness and cut them)
  • Immersion blender

A tip: use little salt, since the smoked ham is salty and will release more flavor during cooking time

Cut the pumpkin in small pieces and divide the cubes in three parts: one part must be sautéed in a pan with a little onion (optional) and two parts will go in a pot with some water

Add the smoked ham to the pan

When the pumpkin starts to peel, take away from the fire and beat it in the immersion blender to form a cream

Add the bechamel sauce

In the bottom of the pan, add a spoonful of the obtained cream and start alternating layers staring from the lasagna, then the cream and finally the chopped pumpkin and the ham

Continue until running out of ingredients keeping in mind the last layer must be pumpkin and ham

Bake at 180 C for 20-25 minutes and Bon Appetit!
