How to make a Bridesmaid crown in Limonium 2018/04/10

Today I will show you how to make a delicate crown for for a girl or bridesmaid in Limonium, the flower also known as sea lavender.

Thanks to its soft color, it can adapt to pastel color clothes.

Materials

  • Limonium, latifolium, sea lavender (statice or limonium)
  • Iron thread
  • White paper floral tape.
  • Colored ribbons
  • Tip pliers
  • Exigo scissors

Buy Limonium 2 or 3 days before the event and keep it in water

Measure the circumference of the head of the child or bridesmaid who will wear the crown.

Leave an extra 5 cm on each end to later create the loop folding both ends.

With the floral tape we cover the whole thread, placing more tape on the ends. Remove the flowers from the lavender twig and set up two bouquets like seen in the image.

Tie each flower mallet as follows

Prepare 25 or 35 flower clusters.

We start to cover the thread from one end, leaving the 5 cm fold free placing the clusters towards the outside of the thread and tying them firmly with the tape.

Blend the cluster to cover in a uniform way.

Carefully continue without leaving blank spaces.

When you reach the end part, set at least 2 flower bouquets on the opposite direction to cover the start and with another small bouquet cover the union.

To close the crown tie a colored ribbon that matches the bridesmaids or child’s dress.

Decorate your party with the Butterfly theme party kit in our store.

Pleased to make your party special
