10 Games for Children 2020/03/15

With schools closed, teachers have organized classes at the distance.

But, what to do when homework is done and the climate doesn’t help us out and/or we don’t have the opportunity to go out?

We offer you 10 games to play with children and overcome boredom without using too much technology.

1. THE COSTUME TRUNK. Unfortunately children haven’t fully enjoyed the Carnival that just happened, so lets gather clothes, grandma’s scarf, cowboy guns, sunglasses you don’t use anymore and some old jewelry in a trunk or box: it will be fun to dress up!

2. LITTLE JAMES BONDS. Look for hooks on the doors inside the house, door handles, the stair rails or the closet handle to create a knit with red thread and, trust your children with the impossible mission of not touching the laser!

3. CLEANING! Given the period in which there exists a necessity of hygiene, why not take advantage of this? You will need a sponge and water with no detergent for the children, let them experiment, thank them for their help and be patient with some water drops spilled…

4. ORIGAMI: it is enough to use an old magazine and some tutorials to start!

5. PASTA NECKLACS: Adequate for younger children who will have to paint pasta with brushes and paints (fingers, pens…) to create necklaces and give them to their friends when they are together again.

6. PAPER AND PEN GAMES: three in line, battleship, hangman, names of things, animals or cities… Organize tournaments between siblings, challenges with grandparents and promote the use of the dictionary!

7. WRITE a word on the BACK or make a drawing to guess! Or say a word with your lips and the other player will have to understand what he said.

8. WRITING OR READING BACKWARDS, recommended for those older that 9, it is a mental exercise

9. ROCK, PAPER OR SICCORS, Remember that rock breaks scissors, scissors cut paper and paper catches rock.

10. THE SMALL GARDEN: take a jar or bowl, put some dirt or cotton and put bean seeds (lentils, chickpeas etc.) in them. Your children will have to take care of it, add some drops of water every day and before going back to school they will see the sprouts!

Lets resist, follow our government’s rules and together we will beat this invisible enemy.
