Decorations with elements of nature - Tutorial 31/01/2015

For the theme of our decorations with elements of nature, I present 3 Tutorials made with branches, leaves and eucalyptus trunks, we begin…

Candleholder

Candles are a decorative and essential at any party, especially at sunset when they create a warm and cozy environment.

The materials to make the candleholder are: eucalyptus leaves, tuna cans or others you might choose, tape, scissors, candles and a piece of resistant cardboard.

We select an adequate quantity of leaves of the same size. We cut the cardboard in the measurement we will cut the leaves, leaving a straight base for the leaf, doing so we will cut the leaves in the same measurement.

We wrap the tuna can with tape in a way the sticky part is facing out.

On top of the tape we stick each of the leaves, pressing with a finger, this method is practical and simple, it does not require glue.

For a taller can, we use 2 strips of tape, first we stick the leaves to the top and then we stick them to the bottom strip.

We insert the candles and we are done. You can feel a eucalyptus scent when the leaves are freshly cut, nevertheless we can make the candleholders ahead of time, the shown leaves have 3 days of being cut.

We can make as many candleholders to fill a table, instead of using centerpieces.

Bar sign

Lately I have seen signs in the different buffet tables that style every type of party. They work to indicate to the guests what can they find in each one, if the table presents snacks, peanuts, pistachios, chips we can use BAR, we can also adapt the signs if it is about Candy, Drinks, Party Favors, Snack, Souvenirs, etc.

For the sign we select eucalyptus branches of at least 1 cm in diameter, we cut enough pieces and paste them on the natural wood, we let them dry as much as they need

Here is the result

Eucalyptus Crown

Presenting the house door decorated, is a nice way of receiving our guests, especially when there are small children since it introduces them to the party theme.

To make the wreath we need a thick branch of 90 cm to 1 meter long, approximately 10 branches of 50 to 60 cm long, gardening scissors, scissors and thread.

We build a circle with the thick branch, this will work as a base to cover the branches with leaves, we will interlace them until covering all the spaces.

The result of this first process is the next one

For that reason now we tie the thinner branches with the thread at intervals of 10 cm, trying to hide the thread with the leaves.

This is the new result, also I have made some cuts on the longer or out of place branches.

As you can see, with 3 simple and practical proposals to make even 3 or 4 days before our event.

As additional suggestions, we can place branches in simple glass jars, to place them in any corner of the house.

To avoid burning ourselves when inserting a lit candle in the containers or spilling wax on our tablecloths, use a gripper to handle the candle.

We can use any types of leaves and candles. (test the resistance of the leaf ahead of time)

The leaves, being a theme that calls out to nature, adapt perfectly to religious ceremonies. In our store you will be able to find party kits customized for you:
