Rustic Christmas Hearts -Embroider 2019/11/05

Christmas season is coming, which is probably a synonym for parties and family and friends’ events,

that is why today I present to you some rustic hearts for setting the mood as soon as possible in your home with this particular folkloric Christmas style

Materials

  • Red fabric with some texture, felt is also ideal
  • White yarn
  • Wadding (optional)
  • Needle and scissors

We will need the following hearts printed on paper, if possible we will transfer to Indian paper, which is a more subtle paper

On double fabric and on the front, we place the molds using every piece of fabric and pin it with pins

We sew with thread of the same color as the fabric, on top of the paper and at least 1/2 cm inwards, leaving an opening, this piece will not be turned so the fabric has been sewn from the front of the fabric, but the opening will be useful later...

We cut the hearts leaving a small rim of at least another 1/2 cm and remove the paper

This is the design we are going to follow for the embroidery, it’s not necessary to transfer to the fabric since it can be visually followed

From the opening, which we left at the time of sewing, we are going to put the needle with the white thread and start embroidering the design, the stitches to employ are: outline stitch for all the lines, lazy daisy for each leaf and prodded stem stitch for the stitches, actually 3 basic and simple stitches

We try to leave the last embroidery zone towards the opening for a better manipulation of the rematch procedure

Now you have the option to fill the hearts or not, this according to your likes and preferences, on both finished works we obtain a rustic style to decorate gifts, wine bottles or decorate the Christmas tree, you would just have to create more hearts in different sizes

I hope this idea inspires you to create your decorations

It’s a pleasure to make your party special
