Create Printed Christmas Baubles 12/19/2017

Creating Christmas objects or decorations alongside our children is fun and good for the soul...

in fact, the tool we can’t give up on for this work, are our children’s hands! With them we will make snow men. Here I explain how to make these printed baubles...

Material:

*Christmas bauble bigger than the child’s hand
* white paint and other colors of your choosing (not the color of the bauble)
* paint brushes and a cup with water to clean them
* permanent marker with a thin tip
* newspaper to protect the work surface
* a cup of coffee or small cup to place the bauble
* cotton swabs

The proportion between the hands and the bauble must be approximately the same as in image 1.

In image 2, I show how the hand must rest on top of the bauble: the wrist and the base of the palm must touch the inferior part (imagine it’s the South Pole) and fingers towards the top

For your children’s delight, paint the palm of their hand entirely in white paint...

... place their hand on top of the bauble and print. Make sure that all the fingers are well positioned on top of the bauble without moving them to much

This is the result.

Place the bauble on the cup for better handling

Add delicate touches of white paint around the imprint of the hand, some dots using the cotton swab on the upper part. This works to create snow effect

Let dry and add details with the white paint as shown in the image. We used white paint to highlight the colors

When it’s dry, proceed to drawing hats, scarfs and carrots with the colors of your preference. A tip is to not use the bauble color because this has to stand out. Let it fully dry.

Add details to your liking with the permanent marker

The Christmas bauble is finished!

You can hang them on the tree or turn them into gifts for the guests who attend the Christmas dinner
