Make a Felt Skull 2015/11/28

Today’s proposal is to create a skull to decorate allusive celebrations of The Day of the Dead, the main material is your creativity

Materials

Felt in different colors
Black thick thread
Needle, scissors, pins

Mold

Cut two equal pieces for the skull

Aside from cutting each one of the decorations that will be stuck with thread and needle; unless you wish to get the following effect, you could use silicone to join the pieces and at the same time make the process faster

To join the centers of the flowers and each petal I have used the daisy stitch, on the orange petals I have applied this stitch three times and in the petals of the eyes just once

I have embroidered with back stitch, using the thread and inserting the needle in the middle of them, this way I set the teeth and embroidered the decorations

To join the eyes, nose and both parts of the skull, I have used the Festoon Stitch

Fill with waddle, sew the ribbon to the piece…

And finally the Skull is finished
