3 last minute costumes for the Carnival 01/03/2014

As a mom, I can also say that sometimes it isn’t easy to find a cute, cheap and simple idea to make a Carnival costume.

I give you some beautiful ideas I found on the web… are you ready? Well let’s go…

A simple and beautiful idea

THE COOK!!! There isn’t anything more simple and cute than to see a little chef. Simply use an apron (which we can find in the kitchen) and a fabulous hat like this one.

We need: 1. cardboard paper (preferably white but you choose the color) 2. Tissue paper (same color) 3. Glue (tube or other)

The first thing is to cut the cardboard (horizontally) more or less 10 cm wide.

We take the tissue paper and fold it like an accordion, and with glue we paste it to the strip of cardboard we have prepared. Then we measure the circumference of our child’s head to determine where to cut. After cutting, join together the end trying to make a circle. We have finished and now we can try it on our child.

Instead, if your children would want something more fun… Like having monstrous eyes?

Here is a good, simple and ecological idea.

We take the egg carton; with scissors we cut in two and give it a rounded shape flattening the edges. Then paint the mask white, let it dry and then draw the eyes. Don’t forget to draw the veins to give it a more scary effect!

We paste the mask to a stick like on the image.

Still have younger children? Do they use a pacifier?

A very easy thing to do, maybe with a piece of cardboard, is a mustache.

It is very simple: just draw it on some cardboard and cut it out. With a drop of glue we paste it on the pacifier, a baby with a mustache! Beautiful!!

Do you see here? Just have a simple touch of creativity! Kisses and happy Carnival!
