How to knit a Crochet Star 2017/04/28

Today we will make these Golden Stars for decoration which you can make in very little time

Materials

• Metallic golden colored thread
• Adequate needles for the thickness of the thread
• Wood, nails and hammer
• Toothpicks
• Silicone
• Scissors

To make the star we will follow the next diagram

As shown in the diagram, we begin with a magic ring

1st Round: 3 chain stitches, 2 double crochet, 1 chain stitch in the air, we repeat 5 times, close with a single stitch

2nd Round: make a single stitch in the second double crochet of the first round, on the chain stitch in the air of the first round make 2 double crochets, 2 treble crochets, 1 chain stitch in the air, 2 treble crochets, 2 double crochets, make one single stitch in the space of the central double crochet from the last round, repeat until finishing the round and close

We close the work; you’ll notice now that instead of a star, the finished work looks more like a flower

So, in one piece of wood we place 5 nails forming a star and we place our work in such a way they are well stretched

We wet the stars only with water and let them dry

Insert the toothpick in the stars and set them with hot silicone, make sure the tip of the toothpick goes downwards, now you can make many decorations

You can place it as toppers for desserts, decorate the napkins, with more little stars you can form a wreath, decorate the invitations and in so many ways you can imagine!
