How to elaborate a felt fortune cookie 2017/04/21

Celebrate Chinese New Year or celebrate an oriental style party by making these fortune cookies to offer as party favors to your guests and prepare a very particular cookie for that special person

Materials

• Cookie color felt
• Paper and black pen
• Same color thread as the felt
• Scissors and pins

To create expectation and play with your guests, I suggest you write your own messages in strips of paper or you could also print them. Here are some suggestions:

Someone very special thinks of you | Someone secretly loves you| You’ll make a trip

Now we go to the felt, cutting 1 circle of 9 cm in diameter per cookie

With thread and needle we sew the cookie leaving the ends open, we sew with an invisible stitch, passing the thread through the inside from side to side, be careful not to pass through the fabric outside, this way you’ll avoid the stitches to be visible

Now is the moment to insert the message

To give the cookie shape, we take it and fold it in the following way and on the right point we make a stitch

If you wish, you can wrap the cookies in cellophane bags like they do in restaurants

Get a Chinese plate or basket or anything allusive to the theme to present the cookies to your guests and remember to mark the cookie you want to give to anyone in particular
