How to Prepare Mexican Salsa Recipe 2015/11/23

 

If you are planning to organize a Mexican style party or any other party, amaze your friends with this delicious salsa for snacking time

Ingredients for 500 ml

  • 3 large tomatoes
  • 4 “guarda in cielo” red peppers = 1 serrano pepper
  • 1 teaspoon of salt

Accompany with corn chips

Wash the tomatoes and with a knife remove the stem. Wash the peppers and remove the stems.

Fill up a pot with enough water to cover the tomatoes. Take the water to the boiling point covering the pot, once the water is boiling we can take of the lid

Cook the tomatoes to a point where the skin comes off easily, about 20 to 25 minutes, turn of the heat. Put the peppers and tomatoes on a plate to let them cool.

Once cooled, we can blend the tomatoes on high speed; it’s important to know that we must not blend them immediately after boiling them because we will damage the blending cup because of the heat.

We add the teaspoon of salt at this point

Blend on the highest speed our blender offers, for a generous time and check the salt

Important!

3 large tomatoes make about 500 ml of salsa; to serve on the table you will need 1 saucer (500 ml) for 3 or 4 people
