How to Create a Crochet Rose Bud 2016/02/16

Today I will show you how to make a crochet rose bud which use is to keep the candies or rice for religious events

Materials

• Thread
• Hook number 2
• Hook number 1.8
• Copper wire
• Green flora tape
• Tulle, organza and ribbons

We start the crochet work

Frist rounds: make a magic ring and work 18 double crochets

Second round: we work 27 double crochets

Third round: we make 36 double crochets

In a way the piece stays concave, we make two pieces with the number 2 needle

We join both rings with 18 stitches

We conclude the first part, with the first rose bud

We repeat the same steps to create the second bud, but with the number 1.8 needle, this process will make the bud tighter meaning smaller

This way we will get two buds, one slightly bigger than the other

We insert the small bud in the large one

We intertwine both pieces with copper wire

We wrap the wire with the green flora tape

Inside of the bud we can insert rise wrapped in tulle or candied almonds, close the confection with a silk ribbon or satin cord

With anticipation make enough rose buds and place them in decorated boxes ready for your event
