How to Make a Felt Seahorse 2016/06/21

If the marine setting is on the top of your child’s likings, I invite you see todays proposal.

I will show how to make a felt Seahorse to decorate your party.

Materials

  • Different shades of blue felt
  • Yarn
  • Googly eyes
  • Wadding
  • Stick
  • Ribbons in blue shades
  • Needle, pins, scissors
  • UHU style glue

We download the pattern and begin cutting each one of the parts of the Seahorse

We help ourselves with pins to hold the pattern to the felt.

To the pieces like the belly, the crest, the fin, we add 1cm towards the inner part, this part will work to stick it to the main body

We cut out all of the pieces

I select the color that looks better for embroidering.

Fin

We sew it first to have it ready; I have left the base yellow and the upper parts green and blue, I apply the festoon stitch to join the green and blue part to the yellow base. I sew on both side of the fin

Body

I start to sew the belly

Then I join the body sewing with the festoon stitch on both sides

I continue to sew the whole contour; I join the crest sewing first on one side.

We insert the wadding as we start to close the body

We close on the other side of the crest

We have finished sewing

With UHU type glue we paste the eye and the other decorations. Our Seahorse is finished

Not only to decorate the dessert table, you can also give them to your guests taking them from a centerpiece as if they where flowers!

Complete your marine style party with the customized party kit inspired in Baby Shark available in our store.

Pleasure to make your party special
